Two time Grey Cup winning head coach Mike Trestman has been hired to lead the Chicago Bears back to playoffs potential. He is known as a quarterback guru, and the Bears could use as much help as possible at the QB position.
After nine seasons with the Chicago, Lovie Smith was released after the end of the regular season. Since then, the Bears have been actively searching for a replacement. Sources say up to 13 other coaches were interviewed for the job along with Trestman.
Trestman's last five years was spent as head coach of the CFL's Montreal Alouettes, winning two Grey Cups over his tenure.
The Chicago Bears may have shocked some, but they have been looking for someone to compliment their quarterback Jay Cutler. Trestman's skill set should work very well. After a series of disappointing seasons, it couldn't get much worse for the Chicago Bears. Do you trust in Trestman?
