Mike Trestman named head coach of the Chicago Bears

Two time Grey Cup winning head coach Mike Trestman has been hired to lead the Chicago Bears back to playoffs potential. He is known as a quarterback guru, and the Bears could use as much help as possible at the QB position.

After nine seasons with the Chicago, Lovie Smith was released after the end of the regular season. Since then, the Bears have been actively searching for a replacement. Sources say up to 13 other coaches were interviewed for the job along with Trestman.

Trestman's last five years was spent as head coach of the CFL's Montreal Alouettes, winning two Grey Cups over his tenure.

The Chicago Bears may have shocked some, but they have been looking for someone to compliment their quarterback Jay Cutler. Trestman's skill set should work very well. After a series of disappointing seasons, it couldn't get much worse for the Chicago Bears. Do you trust in Trestman?

Chip Kelly's new team is the Philadelphia Eagles!

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed Chip Kelly as their Head Coach

It was originally reported that after meeting with many NFL teams, Chip Kelly made the decision to stay with the Oregon Ducks. Wednesday morning, The Philadelphia Eagles announced Chip Kelly as the 21st head coach in the franchise's history. Chip Kelly's record as Oregon's head coach was 46-7, most recently winning the 2013 Fiesta Bowl.

The Eagles had been exhaustively searching for a replacement for former head coach Andy Reid since the end of the regular season. Former Bears head coach Lovie Smith, Seattle defensive coordinator Gus Bradley, and former Ravens coach Brian Billick are just a few of the names the Ravens have been tossing around. Finally, Wednesday morning the decision was finalized.

How will this affect the Oregon Ducks next year? This is still to be seen. He is the first coach to make it to a bowl game in his first four seasons. There was a great surprise when Kelly made the official decision. Reports say the Ducks are likely to hire a new head coach from within their organization. But after Chip Kelly's four consecutive bowl game seasons, it is highly likely the Philadelphia Eagles will be a team to be reckoned with next year in the NFL.

What kind of personnel will the Eagles need to make things work with Chip Kelly? He will need a mobile, yet durable quarterback. for sure. Chip Kelly had a faster paced offense than any NFL team did this year. The Philadelphia Eagles have some great pieces. The question is will all the pieces fit into the puzzle and make Chip Kelly a just as well respected NFL coach as he was a NCAA coach.
